Spring is undeniably my favorite season! I absolutely love the sound of crisp Sping air fluttering through the trees and the way the sun dances across the grass. And I have zero qualms with Spring fashion. Light pinks and blues and an abundance of florals…does it get much better?! This time of year I am always pleasantly surprised with the trends that appear and thought I would share the trends that I am loving for Spring 2020!
- Pastel Tie-Dye: Yes, tie-dye has been around for decades, but it’s making a comeback in a more subdued, wearable form. Muted and pastel tie-dye prints are bound to be everywhere this Spring, especially with it being a perfect print for all the loungewear that’s been in demand since we’ve been hunkered down in our homes. On my wishlist: this tank, this bikini, and this dress.
- Ruching: Consider ruching to be this season’s version of ruffles! Ruching is essentially the gathering of fabric to create little pleats. You’ll likely see ruching everywhere this season on everything from skirts to dresses to tops and even shoes! In love with this $490 dress below (a girl can dream right?). Loving this ruched tank, this dress, and this skirt!
- Statement Sleeves: Puff sleeves are part of my everyday wardrobe, but statement sleeves are taking new shape and growing on an even grander scale. More recently, sheer and structurally intricate versions of the typical puff sleeve are pushing the boundary between every day and avant-garde, and I am HERE FOR IT! I have particularly loved Kate Hudson’s new line HappyXNature and their play on the classic puff sleeve. How cute is this top, this blouse, and this little number?!
- Pastel Eye Makeup: Pastel shades of eyeshadow and eyeliner are starting to make their debut and I am eager to get my hands on Glossier’s new Skywash lid tint! This fun pop of color elevates an everyday makeup look in the spirit of Spring pastels and I am obsessed!
