Gosh, it feels like epochs have passed since I last caught up with y’all! Where is the time going?! This past week, I took a lil’ vacay to visit my friend Caroline in Florida and, quite truthfully, I think this California girl could see herself as a Floridian!
I still don’t think I’ve quite figured out how to style my hair in the humidity yet, but it was good to get in a little practice before I make my trek back to DTX next week! *If anyone has tips/products to recommend on that please subject send them my way! I could use all the help in the world taming my lion’s mane. HELP!*
But, this post is not dedicated to my petty hair drama (I’ll save that for a later date). Humidity aside, the Ponte Vedra/Jacksonville area is seriously gorgeous – so lush and green! St. Augustine also is so historic, and with Caroline as my tour guide, there is something to explore around every corner. Of course, I also loved all the shopping to do in the area! Although I am a self-proclaimed online shopper, perusing local boutiques or even familiar department stores gives you such a better idea of what is trending and how to style pieces for each season. And oh my goodness, fall is ALL. ABOUT. RUFFLES!
Anyone who knows me, knows that if it has ruffles, it’s probably already in my closet. I might go a little overboard at times, but a girl wants what she wants, and I want ALL the ruffles to be found! That includes the chips too – with a side of seven layer dip. But, I am guessing that’s probably not part of the keto diet…
Seriously though, I could not be more excited! We are overdue for a Ruffle Revolution, and I am 100% on board – make that 1000%! Y’ALL, this could be dangerous – my closet doesn’t have room for this obsession – and neither does my wallet. But, a girl can dream! So, I’ve put together a little wishlist of some pieces that can be versatile and worn throughout fall! Off of this list, I currently have the BB Dakota off the shoulder blouse, BP ruffle sleeve top, and Topshop ruffle blouse in my closet – all will be worn on repeat! You don’t need an excuse to wear something more than once, and you will definitely see me wear these often in the coming months!

But, if you need help with sizing recommendations, please don’t hesitate to comment/email me! Here are some sizing recommendations based on the brands I’ve listed and tried before:
- BB Dakota: XS
- Topshop: 4 US (fits like a 0-2) *Topshop runs small sometimes so I sometimes order a size up to have options*
- Frame: 24-25 depending on the fit
- BP: XXS *BP runs a little large so I size down*
- Likely: 2 *runs TTS, if not slightly small*
- Zara: XS
- Carbon38: XS
- Bardot: XS
Wishing you all a great start to your week and the motivation you need to power through your Monday (knowing I could use some motivation myself right now)! Thank you so much for reading!
